\"Yeti-the-Cat-Boxed-In\"<\/a>Boo<\/b>: Yeti…Yeti! Are you okay? You look kind of…blurry.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: I think I’m having a flashback. Hold my paw.<\/p>\n

[Everything gets wavy for a bit and then we see a scene change with blurry edges<\/i>]<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: Oh, no…not this again.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: What? <\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: I think we\u2019re [gulp<\/i>]…\u201cmoving<\/i>\u201d.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: We move every day. I\u2019m moving now, see? [swishes tail<\/i>] Are you creating unnecessary drama again?<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: No, no, no. When they say the word \u201cmove\u201d with that kind of weight, it means something different, much more involved, and horrifying. I\u2019ve seen this before, six years ago. It was the worst! And they – the People – get really tense and edgy – so stay out of the way!<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: Moving…how bad can it get? What, do they try to dance?<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: No, no, no. Do you see the boxes?<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: [eyes shining<\/i>] Yes…I like<\/i> boxes.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: But watch: these she fills up with their stuff, and not with us<\/i> – which is good, because she closes them up tight – watch!<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: [observing intently<\/i>] Look at all that stuff! More and more…but she left…wait…she\u2019s back with more stuff – and in the box it goes! Is it going somewhere?<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: Yes – and so are we…and so are they. That’s<\/em> “moving”. We just leave the shell behind.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: Why?<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: Who knows. But see how she\u2019s pulling everything out and stacking it, and is making more of these boxes? That means everything<\/i> goes, including all of us.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: How long does it take?<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: Too long.\u00a0 But it does end, and we\u2019ll have a new shell, and all the stuff comes out of the boxes, but it\u2019s all in different places, because the shell is different.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: Sounds utterly pointless to me.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: They\u2019re strange creatures. We\u2019ll have to help them and check everything out.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: We\u2019ll supervise!<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: I\u2019m head supervisor; I\u2019m seasoned.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: Make sure they take the litter box. We need that.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: And food. Noted. We\u2019ll keep reminding them. Oh, and the toys.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: Everything<\/i> looks like toys strewn around like this! [Yeti starts batting at tape<\/i>.]<\/p>\n

Missus<\/b>: Kitties, I have work to do.<\/p>\n

Kitties<\/b>: Meow. (We\u2019re helping!!!<\/i>) Mew.<\/p>\n

\"Yeti-the-Cat-and-Peekaboo-Pack-Us-Too\"<\/a><\/p>\n

[Everything goes wavy again and now we’re back in the crystal-clear present<\/i>]<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: [Shaking her head<\/i>] Whew; that was trippy. I thought my eyes were going, for a sec.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: Nope…just a flashback.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: Ugh, an awful one. And just what brought that on now?<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: Well, look: Missus is putting stuff in a box.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: You have got<\/i> to learn the difference – you did this at Christmas, too.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: What difference?<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: This time she has wrapping<\/i> paper. You don’t bother with that when moving.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: So, what is this then?<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: I think it’s time for the Mister’s birthday again. It’s a present for him.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: Aw, that’s sweet…well then, I think we<\/i> should get in the box then!<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: Oh, we’ll have our chance -but after<\/i> he opens it. Only then can we shred the paper.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: You sure?<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: Yes. Cuteness is definitely conditional. Timing on this thing is key. I learned the hard way.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: Golly, do you ever learn any other way?<\/p>\n
