Boo<\/b>: Happy St. Catrick’s Day.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: Happy what?<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: St. Catrick’s Day. Our people celebrate an Irish cat who did tricks so well they sainted<\/em> him.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: That’s the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: I saw it on the Internet, so it must be true.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: Where<\/em> on the Internet?<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: [mumbling<\/i>] On our blog, where I just put it….<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: Peekaboo! You can’t just make things up and put them on the Internet! – I mean, I know you can<\/i>, but you shouldn’t<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: Well I think it’s a nice story anyway.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: Okay Peekaboo, if it’s a story, then you round it out, and really make it a story.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: [thinking hard<\/i>] Well…once there was this cat named Patrick, and he did lots of tricks, like playing fetch, and doing pirouettes, and walking on his hind legs, and speaking and sitting on command, and doing “tornado kitty” and back flips–<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: This cat sounds suspiciously<\/i> familiar….<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: And because of his awesomesauciness, they gave him unlimited noms all the time and loved on him lots and lots–<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: And this would be “projection” based in fantasy….<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: Don’t ruin my story by psychologizing it.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: [glibly<\/i>] Beg pardon. Pray continue.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: Um…and he lived happily ever after. The end.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: [blinking<\/em>] Short story.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: That’s a real genre, er, category, you know.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: So it is. Merely citing literary terminology does not precipitate success.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: Luckily we have our own publishing venue.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: Lucky for you – not for our readership.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/b>: I’ll take a page from your book and say it only matters if I<\/span><\/i> like it. [grins smugly<\/i>]<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/b>: “It’s for her own good that the cat purrs.” [Irish proverb<\/i>]<\/p>\n
