Boo<\/strong>: She must like old stuff. So must Mister if he likes Missus.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/strong>: That’s not very polite.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/strong>: [Indignantly<\/em>] I didn’t say it to<\/em> her.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/strong>: It might hurt her feelings if she knew you spoke so about<\/em> her.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/strong>: Why? She’s in a position of respect…and you’re<\/em> the only one who’d tell her.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/strong>: Not I. I care about her feelings.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/strong>: And about her not knowing we talk.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/strong>: That too. The mlog isn’t proof positive. She hasn’t caught us. Anyway, look at this old newspaper clipping I found:<\/p>\n

Boo<\/strong>: Back when? Ancient Egypt?<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/strong>: It’s not that old.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/strong>: How do you know?<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/strong>: It’s not inscribed onto a rock<\/em> or even papyrus – it’s just newsprint. You could do with some education.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/strong>: What for? I have no career aspirations.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/strong>: It would just help you make more sense of the world, or even of these ads.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/strong>: [Peering curiously over Yeti’s shoulder at the newsprint<\/em>] These cats are cool.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/strong>: Indeed. There are lots of working cats, too. They certainly valued us.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/strong>: I don’t like that leash thing.<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/strong>: I do. It’s for our own safety.<\/p>\n

Boo<\/strong>: Look, someone circled the word “calico”…and underlined “fluffy white cats”…you don’t think…?<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/strong>: What? That it’s about us<\/em>?<\/p>\n

Boo<\/strong>: Great jumping cats! How old are<\/em> we???<\/p>\n

Yeti<\/strong>: I wonder if the newspaper ages in cat years…even exponentially…. <\/p>\n
