Welcome to the Eilee George landscape paintings page. Painting always feels so different to me than drawing; part of that is the nature and scale of the tools. My drawings are tighter; in paintings I’m freer. Paintings here are acrylic, although I have worked in oils and watercolors. It’s hard to tell in a photo or a digital image, but metallic pigments and/or textured impasto I used in some work is lost in transference from the original to an image of it. Please contact me for detail images for any work you are interested in.
NOTE: If my gallery is not working, please bear with me; I’m trying to find a fix. All of the paintings that are supposed to be in this gallery are further down on this same page just in case the gallery malfunctions, which happens sometimes when updates aren’t in sync.
Newer paintings now installed in Calvary Baptist Community Church in Northglenn, CO, are announced in this post and detailed in this one. They are now the last 10 images in this gallery. They’re viewable to the public each Sunday. All paintings on this site are available as prints (please contact me for options), and originals are for sale unless it is noted in the list below the gallery that the original has been SOLD or is NFS (Not For Sale). New versions of sold paintings, or entirely different landscapes or other genres may still be commissioned, by contacting me as well. I will even paint custom scenes of personal meaning to you, if you send me viable photograph(s) from which to work, or even – for inherently more unpredictable results – your own loose sketches and detailed descriptions from which I may attempt to develop something (a “picture’s worth a thousand words”, but I’ve done this before too!) I enjoy a challenge.
Speaking of “a picture’s worth a thousand words“, I’ve written colorful descriptions of each of my paintings, and you can see them if you scroll below this gallery. Fear not–they’re only a fraction that long. Every artwork has a story to tell!
Some of my older work can be seen here. Even older paintings here. Happy Easter Egg!

Remember, Prints are available of any of these, and I can paint near duplicates of any of my own* original works even those listed as sold, or a new original work for you; I only say “near duplicate” because every session is unique, and painstakingly trying to directly copy anything verbatim takes away the natural and beautiful spontaneity of brushstrokes and authenticity, and actually would take much longer than a fresh version (and likely cost more if such a thing were requested due to being more labor-intensive).
Please feel welcome to reach out to me through the form or info on my CONTACT page…and check out my Twitter and Vimeo accounts for a little more idea of the brand of expression and inspiration that moves me.
Thanks!

In case the gallery’s having a mental health day, here are the paintings that are hiding within it (the bonus of this section is you get the BACKGROUND STORY of each piece):
Garden Tomb

It’s surrounded by prayerful niches, chapels and gathering spots for scripture readings, beautiful gardens and structures…but the tomb itself, tucked back in a corner, stands sturdily on its own. I lost my breath at the site of it. The door is low, and forces one to bow humbly to enter; the sparse interior represents so much more than can be perceived with the eye. The mind cannot grasp the full significance: the quieted heart, lowered eyes, silent lips cannot express the weighty reverence that sweeps over one in a place that speaks to a transition of such epic proportion anticipating its profound, liberating results.
“Garden Tomb“ © 2016 (Linda) “Eilee” S. George, 16″w x 20″h, part of the Israel Series, acrylic on canvas. Original size is 16”x20” – original has SOLD but prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Garden of Gethsemane

In the depths of despair, one can passively disregard any beauty around them, no matter how resplendent. Facing separation from one’s Maker and rock, even when one is immortal – outweighs the fleeting pleasures of this world. Those of us left to linger can marvel at the ancient trees, the lovely roses, and the grace and mercy in a Son’s defeat of His own anguish in order to do His Father’s will, at any cost, for the salvation of those of mankind who would receive Him. The bittersweet olives were witnesses.
“Garden of Gethsemane” © 2016 (Linda) “Eilee” S. George, 30″h x 48″w, part of the Israel Series, acrylic on canvas. Original size is 30”x48” – original has SOLD but prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
River Jordan

Atypically cool and soothing, the valley clothes a meandering gem, with lush trees echoing with their rain-stick leaves in the breeze, and occasional exotic birdcalls; the sounds travel along the water’s surface to expectant ears. This is the very body of water where Jesus was baptized. We’ve come so far…we yearn to be near Him, to follow His example in any way we can while still here. The water is invigoratingly cold, and calmer in this wider channel than at the rapids we saw in the narrows; it beckons us to slow down, and to savor the experience…. Submission is freedom.
“River Jordan” © 2017 (Linda) “Eilee” S. George, 24″h x 36″w, part of the Israel Series, acrylic on canvas. Original size is 24”x36” – original has SOLD but prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
River Jordan

The atmosphere is as a shimmering veil of finest silk, translucent and teeming with atoms. Colors melt into one another as currents sweep through air and sea, in feverish Van Gogh swirls; hues swell in intensity and sing, until legend becomes perceptible – while the imagination invades the eyes. The calm just known is now awareness of the very potential for violent squalls and fearful fishermen…of elemental obedience to authority’s command…of walking in faith, to falter – and find forgiveness and support. The crescendo subsided; we are left with the coda.
“Sea of Galilee” © 2017 (Linda) “Eilee” S. George, 24″h x 36″w, part of the Israel Series, acrylic on canvas. Original size is 24”x36” – original has SOLD but prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Calvary

Time is elastic here…history lunges toward you with a powerful hand pulling you back into its void. It’s the same place, so no wonders of where are we …no, it’s: when are we?
Jerusalem is a dance in the continuum, a chance to time travel, machine-free. The Second Temple Period freezes before us, no life in it, just a set posed to erupt with action but pausing to focus on the most critical episode in the history of man, all distractions removed, all personifications abandoned to give the heart space to fill in the blanks.
“Calvary” © 2017 (Linda) “Eilee” S. George, 36″h x 48″w, part of the Israel Series, acrylic on canvas. Original size is 36”x48” – original has SOLD but prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Ancient Tree, Gethsemane

A ragged old survivor, truly mammoth in its size, battle-scarred and era-weary, tells its tale – but doesn’t. The greatest secrets it has witnessed were inscribed on cousins, papyrus and skins, for all of the kingdoms came from one source. This old soldier didn’t need to talk. The layers of branches, broken, overgrown and replenished, tell chapters of cyclical healing; the leaves, our lives in day to day, are fragile, and short-sighted. Their transparency and transitory nature contrasts with the ever-regenerating trunk, its roots so deep they can grasp eternity.
“Ancient Tree, Gethsemane” © 2017 (Linda) “Eilee” S. George, 24″w x 24″h, part of the Israel Series, acrylic on canvas. Original size is 24”x24”. Original has SOLD but prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Three Trees Triptych: Rebellion – The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil

Eden escaped our collective grasp for the failure of two to obey their task; returned to the scene of the crime is the villain. Evidence lies not far from his gaze, and paradise lost is abandoned for toil, lest the curse not be broken. For mercy are we kept from further folly; for grace we’re saved for greater good.
“Rebellion: The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil” © 2017 (Linda) “Eilee” S. George, 48″w x 60″h, part of the “3 Trees” Triptych within the Israel Series, acrylic on canvas. Original size is 48”x60” – original has SOLD but prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Three Trees Triptych: Redemption – The Tree of the Cross

The world didn’t know it had ended; so too, didn’t know it began. The instrument of pain and death morphed to ironic symbol by its victim: a portal to everlasting life. Vines sprout from the fertile foundation; blossoms pay homage to remind; dark clouds part to illuminate the rebirth yet to come. The barren landscape will teem with life.
“Redemption: The Tree of the Cross” © 2017 (Linda) “Eilee” S. George, 48″w x 60″h, part of the “3 Trees” Triptych within the Israel Series, acrylic on canvas. Original size is 48”x60” – original has SOLD but prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Three Trees Triptych: Reunion – The Tree of Life

A tree of immortality was saved, transplanted by God from Eden to the New Jerusalem to prevent man from irreparable spoil for eternity. The curse could thusly be reversed, free will allowing. Here twelve crops abundant grow; leaves for healing nations on display as cultures blend in a shining city of unity and peace. The River of Life flows from the Throne of God and nourishes all.
“Reunion: The Tree of Life” © 2017 (Linda) “Eilee” S. George, 48″w x 60″h, part of the “3 Trees” Triptych within the Israel Series, acrylic on canvas. Original size is 48”x60”. Original has SOLD but prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.

Alchemistree

Even on a cloudy day, nature vibrates with life, with seething atoms and molecules and systems, organisms, environments, ecosystems and worlds down to tiny microcosms. Vegetable reflects mineral; sky reflects earth; people reflect the weather. We are all connected in a giant stew, yet as we simmer we never lose our individual essence. In Alchemistree I start again deconstructing matter and making parallels with fractal scales that differ on epic, exponential proportions. We are one.

Arborolatree

The title Arborolatree refers to worship of trees – a bit of an exaggeration, but they always take me to a spiritual place of calm. Alfred Joyce Kilmer had it right when he wrote, “I think that I shall never see a poem lovely as a tree…a tree that looks at God all day, and lifts her leafy arms to pray….” When I shot the photograph from which this painting was taken, I was wandering through a grove and stopped dead when I saw, perfectly framed, a gothic arch in the branches– and the symbolism spoke to me.

Asymmetree

The overcast sky provides adequate respite for the eye to appreciate the aspen’s trunk without being silhouetted in glare; the leaves gather to form layers of dimmest luminosity in lazy magnitudes. A restful palette reflects the rest we need to regroup, to gather our breath and refuel and begin again. Inspired from a simple snapshot in my own back yard, this spontaneous asymmetrical shot seems to connect with everyone who sees it.

Burnout

Fire and ice always make for a dynamic duo – they complement and threaten each other in a love-hate relationship that could fuel any romance novel. A departure from my normal lush landscapes, Burnout is sparse, frigid, yet melting into the possibility of rebirth with the warmth of impending spring. Dormancy is essential for the next season’s growth. We witness nature on the precipice…are you there also?
“Burnout” © 2013 L. “Eilee” S. George, 36″x36″, acrylic on canvas. Original size is 36”x36” – original has SOLD but prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution. New originals/versions also may be commissioned.
Spring

Glittering with hue and new life, with dew and buds and hope, this frail sister grows into her own, finding her way via tendrils and honeybees. Friends with the butterfly and bird, she embraces all creatures in mountain and meadow as they, too, bring forth and tend to their young. The hills let loose the waters from a frozen winter to nourish all the new; the sun returns more earnestly and breathes life to nature too.

The Four Seasons as originals are meant to be sold and shown as a group. If you only want one, please commission a new original or purchase a print.
Summer

Blossoms cycle in and out, species by species–and summer is no stranger to color. Greens grow deeper, branches heavier, but some upstarts still have a way yet to go. Someday they’ll be big trees. Every cycle we grow a little more.

Autumn

“If you gotta go, go out in style” – that seems like something Autumn would say. Bold, robust, riotous in her attire, she embodies joie de vivre and living for the moment – “eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we die!” is her battle cry. But we know she doesn’t really believe that. She is also the goddess of the harvest – a bounty that comes with planning and nurturing and purpose. She knows she’ll be back, and she knows it’s worth thinking ahead.

Winter

The year’s output has been abundant; we have earned our rest. Yet only the untrained eye sees stillness. Winter is a slow ballet of graceful drafts and drifts, with a chorus of snowflakes accenting it with impertinent jazz fingers. As the score crescendos, in moves the blizzard, to remind us of the power winter holds, to test our mettle, yet in the same stroke to protect us from being overrun in the spring by hostile insect forces gone unchecked. Thank you.

Catreedral

Shortly after I was saved, I dreamt of a garden-like forest. Flora formed a variety of environments within these fantastical woods: unique little individual vignettes from which I could choose, in which to meditate and pray. The one that my mind settled on was a glistening parallel double row of backlit trees, whose branches spread to form the spines of the barrel vault of a soaring cathedral, their shimmering leaves dangling down to catch the light in the mist as the background melted away into cooler, subtler hues. It was very soothing – beckoning me to linger: listening to angel song, breezes through the whispering leaves and cheerful birdsong. I purposely caught this composition in an asymmetrical view to draw one in – for Catreedral to embrace the viewer. It’s waiting for you.

Colorussia I

I am a milestone. I am a beginning, a new direction, the trendsetter. The origination, the first of this new style by my maker…I represent risk, faith, fearlessness, experimentation, innovation, evolution, and hope. It is by my success that so many follow…and further developments still. Denver has around 70,000 émigrés from the area of the former Soviet Union, who embrace our culture, celebrate our patriotic holidays, and throw joyful parties with scrumptious feasts when their coveted green cards are awarded. They invited me into their homes and fed me like I was family. Russia’s champion tree, the birch, and our beloved Colorado aspens, look like the long-lost cousins that I feel I am with them. COLORUSSIA is born.
“Colorussia I” © 2008 L. Eileen S. George a.k.a. “Eilee” George, 36″x24″, acrylic on canvas. Original available! Original size is 24”x36”, and is framed in black. Prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Colorussia II

You saw me in just a flash. You couldn’t linger, but I have infected your mind – you can’t escape me – you must paint me. You have my essence burned on your retina and I will give you no rest until you render me on canvas for the world to see my glory. Yes – I’m just a quick impression – that is what gives me an immediacy, and a mysticism you cannot truly define. I want to keep just enough of my mystery to hold you…you are mine.
“Colorussia II” © 2009 L. Eileen S. George a.k.a. “Eilee” George, 12″x24″, acrylic on canvas. Original available! Original size is 12”x36”, framed in a very dark, earthy wood. Prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Colorussia III

Idaho Springs. The base of Mount Evans. A campground clad in aspens and rock outcroppings. Who knew a shot from the car would produce the belle of the ball? The paint was still wet on this and two collectors vied in a bidding war for this beauty – she also graced the poster, featured for the show that month: COLORusSpring. Almost famous. She blushes. It was just her first dance after all.
“Colorussia III” © 2011 L. Eileen S. George a.k.a “Eilee” George; 40″ w x 30″ h x .75″ d, acrylic on canvas. Original size is 30”x40” – original has SOLD but prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution. And you can always commission a new original like it.
Colorussia IV

Mount Evans is abundant with aspens that sparkle in autumn, when their leaves turn incandescent yellow, made more luminescent when streaming sunbeams illuminate them and bounce off the white bark of the trunks that bring them life. On a dry, crisp day I lie on the ground on a carpet of leaves, and take photos skyward…during the golden hour of the afternoon, when all seems lit in a magical, life-affirming fire. Yellow just isn’t enough anymore.
“Colorussia IV” © 2011 L. Eileen S. George a.k.a. “Eilee” George, 18″x24″, acrylic on canvas. Original available! Original size is 24”x30”. Prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Colorussia V

Its colors are fresh and lovely…the trees are just budding out. The sky shimmers with drops of moisture suspended; not yet assigned a dutiful direction. Lazy wildflowers lounge on the forest floor, disturbed by neither man nor beast. Early afternoon sun nearly overexposes the stark white bark of aspens, and dapples the ground through their quaking leaflets. This is one big, deep, cleansing breath.
“Colorussia V” © 2011 L. Eileen S. George a.k.a. “Eilee” George, 30″x40″, acrylic on canvas. Original available! Original size is 30”x40”. Prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Colorussia VI – a & b

Colorussia VI – a diptych: We are the twins, and each of us is doubling down…down into the reflection at our water’s edge. Our Gemini sky, land and water begin to merge as abstraction plays with pattern; matte and gloss dabbed as neighbors who peacefully coexist. We’ll hang side by side, one over the other, staggered or across from each other so we can wish our respective other-half good morrow – but you can still tell us apart: we’re only fraternal.
“Colorussia IV (a)” © 2011 L. Eileen S. George a.k.a. “Eilee” George, 12″x24″, acrylic on canvas – 2nd in a pair/diptych. Originals available! Original size of each is 12”x24”. Sold singly or preferably as a pair. Prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution. These 2 are very textured, so prints do lose that.
Entree

You almost didn’t see it. Rocks were all through these woodlands, and the many stands of aspens that October posed as screens that so loyally protected these voids – but I caught it – a cave. It was small, probably only enough protection for an animal…and like looking at a road disappearing around a bend, my spirit wants to look around that stony corner, to reveal whatever mystery lies beyond.
“Entree” © 2013 L. Eileen S. George a.k.a “Eilee” George; 8″ w x 10″ h; acrylic on canvas. Original size is 8”x10” – original has SOLD but prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Frostree

Blackberry winter makes strange bedfellows – fruit trees erupted into the abundant blossom of spring are suddenly laden by snow, rendering a stark contrast between their bubbling life and the dormancy from which they only thought they had just escaped. They paint a parallel of grace under adversity…still blooming beneath the weight of a challenge. These blooming jewels inspire me…here in close succession, we see Wintreeand Frostree, showing my loving interpretation of a crabapple tree and a weeping cherry, respectively, in this eerie, almost otherworldly-feeling circumstance. Transcend.
“Frostree” © 2013 L. Eileen S. George a.k.a “Eilee” George; 16″h x 20″w x .75″ d; acrylic on canvas. Original available! Each original is 16”x20”. Prints available in limited sizes. New originals in same/different colors can be commissioned. Prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Hygrometree

The title Hygrometree works with this work, since the photo I took it from I took after this battered old tree just weathered a spectacular afternoon storm, and was rewarded with a brief rainbow then a stunning Boulder County sunset that backlit it as I viewed its sparkling, dripping leaves and blossoms either clinging to branches or floating to the soft grass beneath. The air smells like hope.
“Hygrometree” © 2013 Linda Eileen S. George a.k.a “Eilee” George; 18″h x 24″w x .75″; acrylic on canvas. Original and some prints available by custom order. Original size is 18”x24”. Prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Idolatree

We’ve met before…in another season. Yes, we did – it’s not just a line! Arborolatree was me, in a different time: summer. And although you may think that autumn comes aftersummer, I’m here to tell you: I’m the original, and the summer version merely an experimental copy (albeit a brilliant one I must admit!) Well, pardon me for being vain…my gold and silver gothic arch was a natural wonder to our mutual artist and I was happy to pose…and to serve as further inspiration for my earthier counterpart; my Adam’s rib.
“Idolatree” © 2012 Linda Eileen S. George a.k.a “Eilee” George; 24″ w x 36″ h x 1.75″ d, acrylic on canvas. Original available! Original size is 24”x36”. Prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Loftree

Colorado provides an ethereal backdrop while camping; the natural beauty is stunning – rainbows of wildflowers, burly rock outcroppings, mysteriously winding trails, and rambling, loosely-formed outdoor chapels of ponderosa pines. Just past morning’s golden hour, while camping with family in Jefferson County’s Golden Gate Park, I struck out on my own to let my camera commune with nature. In a clearing, one of these coniferous titans towered over me in stubborn solitude–and exuded strength, experience and an inexplicable sense of sage wisdom. Its battle scars rendered it more thought provoking; its remarkable height couldn’t help but point to God. Gazing at it, I was inspired to survive, to thrive, to grow and to weather any storm – just as it has. The tree lifted me; hence: Loftree.
“Loftree” © 2013 L. Eileen S. George a.k.a “Eilee” George; 24″ h x 18″ w; acrylic on canvas. Original available! Original size is 18”x24”. Prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Luminositree

Oregon is a mossy land of lushness in March, and positively luminously green when the rare instance of a sunbeam breaks through the life-giving rainclouds. Split-second timing caught that beam with a perfect frame, shimmering in raindrops with rainbows and grass oozing excess chlorophyll. Liquid and solid visually gel here, with colors that make your mouth water; Luminositree is wet and glowing and brimming with possibility and life.
“Luminositree” © 2012 L. Eileen S. George a.k.a. “Eilee” George, 18″x24″, acrylic on canvas. Original available! Original size is 18”x24”. Prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Ministree

I don’t dream in black and white. I don’t think I can. Sometimes the colors pop in a dream so strongly they nearly wake me. And why can’t there be a world of stained glass, if it’s one I make up myself? One’s mind is only limited by…well…I don’t know what. I’m not even limited to black-and-white dreams. This dream was one of the vignettes in the same dream that created Catreedral. Ministree again builds a chapel from trees in a simpler dimension. It sold quickly, but I doubt it will be the last of its kind; I love it too much.
“Ministree” © 2012 L. Eileen S. George a.k.a. “Eilee” George, 18″x24″, acrylic on canvas. Original size is 18”x24” – original has SOLD but prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Octreeber

Late in fall the colors mute. They start to look sad, but there’s a comfort in the somber tones, a promise of “we shall meet again” and a vow of a much-needed hiatus. Octreeberis from a photo I took outside of Gold Hill, in an area that survived its then-recent fires. Despite the fact that this place was safe from that burn, I paid homage to the damage in the area with the exaggeration of the background trees’ silhouette, echoing the charred remains of their brothers. Rest in peace.

Pageantree

It matters not if it’s palms on Maui, live oaks in Natchez or aspens in Nederland, I love a good tree parade. These lined up along the road as if to say, “Check US out!!” I simply couldn’t resist.
“Pageantree” © 2013 Linda Eileen S. George a.k.a “Eilee” George; 24″ w x 12″ h x 1.75″ d; acrylic on canvas. Original size is 12”x24” – original has SOLD but prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Poetree

I would have worn this one if I could. This little 5”x7” jewel captured another’s heart opening night, and I remember it fondly. Another blackberry winter wonder. You always want them to go to a good home.
“Poetree” © 2013 Linda Eileen S. George a.k.a “Eilee” George; 5″w x 7″h x .75″ d; acrylic on canvas. Original size is 5”x7” – original has SOLD but prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Shine

Always a tomboy, I was taken by surprise by my immediate induction into sisterhood the evening I told my fellow artists at the gallery of my cancer diagnosis. The support was instant and appreciated. On the way home I had this mantra pop into my mind, along with this vision. Once home I grabbed my sketchbook and feverishly put it into tangible form, soon to be translated into this painting. Later it became a poem, and a song. Peace.
“Shine” © 2012 Linda Eileen S. George a.k.a “Eilee” George; 20″ x 20″ x 1.75″; acrylic on canvas. Original is very dear to me. Original size is 20”x20”, NFS. See notes at bottom. New originals may be commissioned. Prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Solitree

I’ve long been obsessed with what I call “lonely trees”. I lived a lot of years alone, and I was always different than others around me, and felt powerfully isolated even in a crowd. I just relate to solitary images. When I saw this little guy out in a field, vulnerable, alone, exposed to any elements that came along, I saw myself. I think other people see themselves. We all feel alone sometimes. But we are never truly alone, and it is solidarity in that knowledge that appeases the fickle feeling of loneliness.

Subtletree

Among many environmental phenomena that differ from my native Midwest and my current arid climate is that of fog. We have it here in Colorado, but it is a rarity that tugs at my nostalgia bone. Little feels so soothing to me than the quiet of a good pea-soup fog; it muffles the workaday hubbub far outside a newborn, other-worldly sanctuary. This is just a small sketch, the first of many more to come.
“Subtletree” © 2015 L. Eileen S. George a.k.a. “Eilee” George, 8.5″x11″, acrylic on canvas. Original available! Original size is 8”x10”. Prints available in limited sizes pending equipment/resolution.
Territree

Colorado has abundant public lands, open spaces, parks, trails, and other wonderful places to commune with nature in nearly untouched form. My husband and I love hiking and photography, and Lair o’ the Bear open space park is a frequent destination. It’s well established with mature trees arching over trails, bridges over a crystal-clear stream, challenging climbs and mountain bike trails, and beautiful cliffs to sit on and enjoy the vista. Every season has its unique beauty to offer the same locations, and I’ve shot many areas periodically, year round.

Thirstree

Sometimes beauty is right under our noses in the most mundane places we pass every day. Don’t fall into the trap of tunnel vision as you hasten your way to your daily grind. Let your eye wander; your mind take little snapshots of places to investigate further at a more leisurely pace on your way home. That’s how I found this little vignette in Welby.

Unitree

Estes Park has so much to offer, it’s easy to overlook some of it from sheer overstimulation. This chorus line of trees stands on the edge of town along an otherwise unremarkable parking lot. Someone took the time to plant them like that. I want them to know I notice and appreciate it. My mom once pointed out to me that planting a pecan or other seed for a tree is a selfless act of patience for others’ benefit, because the planter himself many times may not live to enjoy the fruit or shade of that tree in their lifetime. My thanks to seed planters of all types everywhere–and everywhen–and the harvests they make possible.

Winter

Blackberry winter makes strange bedfellows – fruit trees erupted into the abundant blossom of spring are suddenly laden by snow, rendering a stark contrast between their bubbling life and the dormancy from which they only thought they had just escaped. They paint a parallel of grace under adversity…still blooming beneath the weight of a challenge. These blooming jewels inspire me…here in close succession, we see Wintreeand Frostree, showing my loving interpretation of a crabapple tree and a weeping cherry, respectively, in this eerie, almost otherworldly-feeling circumstance. Transcend.

Pursuit of Providence

Many times, while chasing our destinies, we are being chased simultaneously by our own irrational fears, neuroses, inflated doubts and others’ negative voices that we give too much credence to. I am in constant battle with such impulses, to the degree that it manifested in my dreams to show me that the walls around me were built with my own hands, and it is with my own mind I can break them apart. The power is in us.

If you’ve hung on this long, you deserve a bonus: these four haven’t hit the main gallery above yet. They’re precious wee things and easy to overlook. Exuberant as they are, they’re shy. These were a precursor to the “Architreecture” series, and shortly after these little babies were hatched, they inspired more. Aww! Each is only 3″x4″ in size, half an inch thick, and as the “4 Lil Seasons” series, they are sold as a group to keep each other company.

Until I get a store set up, please contact me via my Contact page for information on purchases. Thank you!
Notes on sales terms:
- NFS = Not For Sale (original). However, you may order a print OR even a new original.
- Concerning sizes – prints may be made up to nearly the size of the original or smaller, but due to printing restrictions and the degradation of image quality in enlargements, limitations must be observed, and ordering larger than original is mostly unavailable except from very small originals.
- If an original you desire has sold, you may commission a new, similar one from Eilee. She will work with you to customize size and colors to enhance your space. Verbatim copies do not happen, as they would appear stiff, and sacrifice any original’s spontaneity.

* I do not, and will not, forge the work of any other artist, living or dead, for any commercial or other purpose (other than personal self-education in practicing, as art students do, using masterpieces as a teaching tool). Please do not ask artists to forge other artists’ (particularly living or recently passed artists’) work; copyright infringement and forgery are unethical and in most cases highly illegal on a felony level. I have been repeatedly offered crazy amounts of money to do this simply because I have the skill, and I always turn it down; I don’t care if “nobody will know” – I will know; God will know; it’s taking food off of someone else’s table. No. I do not cannibalize my own, nor would any reputable artist. If you like the work of a certain artist, please invest directly into their continued practice if living, or purchase versions of their legacy at the licensed gallery or museum of your choice in order to promote arts education. Thank you so much for your cooperation and understanding. .

NOTE: For a while many sites suffered plugin issues with galleries. I’ve worked hard to build new galleries and fix all I can find. If you have any issues with my galleries or broken links I somehow missed, please email me via the Contact page! I will fix them much faster thanks to your alert. And thank you so very much for your patience and interest!
Some of my older work you can see here. It doesn’t really represent my style so much anymore, although you never forget how to paint in your old styles, so I took it off the main menu to make room for my Music pages. Since they’re paintings, I had thought this the most logical, relevant place to have a link to keep it accessible, for old time’s sake. Happy Easter egg!
